Oh, stop it. I'm sure it's occasionally Dull and Damp in Australia in the equivalent of November. And if I'm wrong, it's probably Far Too Hot And Dry With Big Spiders. I've seen films. Well, I've seen "Crocodile Dundee". Far Too Hot And Dry With Crocodiles - you won't find many of the latter here, I think you'll agree. Scotland is great, readers. Come here and spend your money. Though possibly not in November.

Now now, there's no need to be so defensive every time I mention the climate! I just thought the choice of words was hilarious! Dull and damp! It's almost poetic, don't you think? Just the way those words were right there HUGE on the screen, it looked so bloody funny...

I think they should put the depressing forecast labels in Scots, so that tourists don't know what to expect.

well, that cracking big furrow I have between my eyes was created through squinting in the endless ultraviolet glare down here...dull and damp is so much kinder to ones face.... bring it on!

I have the biggest burningest desire to visit Scotland, thanks to Shauny. I dream of it.

It sure has been a couple of shitty days in Central Scotland, that's for sure. I don't think I've even stuck my head out the door.

andrea - you'll get used to it mate! it's worth it for the summers. nice and mild, and you don't die of sunburn just by going out for a newspaper.

where would we be without the weather to whinge about? when i was in spain all i did was moan about how hot it was, but as soon as we stepped off the plane in edinburgh we resumed moaning about the gloom. mwahaha...

I'm still chuckling almost a year later about the Dutch weather forecaster who said "If you love clouds and low-hanging skies then today was a wonderful day". Nothing like positive thinking!

I'm due to arrive in Scotland in 2 weeks from sunny Oz.
I was scared before, but now I'm petrified!!!!! :(:(

You'll be happy to note that it was not only dull and damp in "sunny Perth WA" but downright drizzly for with even torrential rain for 2 days up to Sunday. Though we certainly need the water here in Australia so we are not complaining. Back to 30 celcius today though :)

Um...today's weather: grey, wet, hailing, gale-force winds, friggen freezing....and oh yeah, SNOW.

No, I'm not in Scotland, but in 'sunny' Orstraylia. 2 weeks before summer arrives. WTF?

yes well this morning was 27 C on the beach. Right now its about 10 C and snowing up the mountains. go figure???

I'm trying to visit as many of the NaBloPoMo blogs as I can and I thought I'd say hi, I liked your blog.. :) It's windy and sunny here at the moment every day. I don't know if I like the combination. I like windy and rainy better.. :)

I heard it just snowed in Canberra and Orange! (Aust). In November! Egad!
